2. Purpose of Data Collection and Processing

Your personal and clinical data is collected and processed strictly for legitimate dental healthcare purposes:

• To establish accurate clinical diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, and execute laser surgeries, implant procedures, or cosmetic workflows.
• To manage appointment scheduling, follow-ups, tele-consultation, and branch-to-branch coordination (Mugalivakkam and Valasaravakkam) ensuring continuity of care.
• To process payments, legal billing, and mandatory health insurance documentations.
• To maintain statutory medical records archives as required under the Clinical Establishments Act and regulations governing dental practitioners in India.

• Internal Access Control: Within Best Laser Dental Clinic & Implant Centre, access to your data is locked behind role-based access controls. Only the operating surgeon, attending implantologists, and specialized clinical staff directly involved in your treatment workflow are granted access.
• Legal Exceptions: Data will only be disclosed to external entities when legally compelled by statutory law enforcement agencies, judicial court orders, or governing medical councils under relevant provisions of Indian law.

4. Security Standards for Digital Scans & Medical Records

We implement robust organizational, technical, and physical security measures to shield your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration:

• Digital Encryption: Patient files, including OPGs, CBCT scans, and digital impression files, are stored on secure local servers and encrypted cloud environments.
• Physical Protection: Paper charts, physical dental models, and hard-copy consent forms at both our Mugalivakkam and Valasaravakkam branches are stored in restricted-access archival zones.
• Network Security: Our diagnostic machinery (CBCT and intraoral scanners) operate within protected intranets utilizing institutional-grade firewalls.

5. Patient Rights under Indian Regulations

In alignment with the DPDP Act, 2023, you hold specific data rights:

• Right to Access & Review: You have the right to request full copies of your medical case sheet, digital scans, and invoices.
