Severe gum disease, or periodontitis, poses significant challenges & is very common these days. Its not uncommon for People in young age group (25-30 yrs) to be affected these days. For patients struggling with this condition, traditional treatments may fall short, particularly when the disease has led to teeth mobility, substantial tooth loss or damage. Fortunately, full mouth dental implants offer a revolutionary solution, restoring not just the function but also the confidence and quality of life that comes with a healthy smile.

What is periodontitis ?

It’s a Severe gum disease characterized by deep infections in the gums and bone that support the teeth. It’s a progressive condition that can lead to the destruction of the supportive structures, resulting in loose or lost teeth. Symptoms include gum recession, persistent bad breath, gum bleeding, and in advanced cases, tooth mobility or loss.

What happens if left untreated ?

For patients with advanced periodontitis, the challenges are multifaceted:

Bone Loss:  Severe gum disease often leads to significant bone loss, which can complicate traditional dental treatments.

Gum Recession: The gums may recede, leaving teeth exposed and vulnerable.

Tooth Mobility: Teeth may become loose, making them difficult to retain or restore.

Treatment Plan:

Addressing Gum Problems and Tooth Mobility: The initial step involved addressing the severe gum issues and removing all the remaining mobile and compromised teeth.

Dental Implants: We placed high-quality dental implants to provide a stable foundation for new, fixed teeth.

Titanium Bar: A titanium bar was fixed over the implants to enhance stability and support the healing process.

Provisional Fixed Teeth: Temporary teeth were provided on the third day following the implant procedure.

Durable Fixed Teeth:  After 6- 8 months, when the bone and gums are healed the provisional teeth will be changed to durable fixed teeth set.
